How to Add a Telegram Bot to a Group

To add a Telegram bot to a group and enable it to respond in the group, follow these steps:

Step 1: Create or Select Your Bot

  1. Open Telegram and start a chat with BotFather (@BotFather).

  2. Use the command /mybots to see your existing bots.

  3. Select the bot you want to add to the group.

  1. After selecting the bot, BotFather will show several options.

  2. Click on Bot Settings.

Step 3: Enable Group Permissions

  1. Inside Bot Settings, select Group Privacy.

  2. If the bot has privacy mode enabled, it will only respond to commands.

  3. Click Turn Off to disable privacy mode, allowing the bot to read and respond to all messages in the group.

Step 4: Add the Bot to a Group

  2. Click on the group name at the top.

  3. Select Add Members.

  4. Search for your bot’s username (e.g., @YourBotName).

  5. Click Add.

  3. Add your bot as an admin.

  4. Enable necessary permissions (e.g., sending messages, managing messages, etc.).
